Mestreha, March 10(Darfur24)

On Sunday, the Sudanese Revolutionary Awakening Council (RAC), led by Musa Hilal, launched a scathing attack on former Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok and the expected government to be announced in areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces(RSF).

Hamdok had proposed an initiative to end the war that has been going on for nearly two years, while the RSF, armed movements and political forces signed the draft transitional constitution in preparation for the formation of a parallel government that adopted secularism as an approach to governance.

RAC spokesman , Ahmed Mohamed Abkar, said in a statement seen by Darfur24, that they reject the secular rule approved by the Nairobi conference.

RAC announced its adherence to Islamic Sharia as a source of legislation in governing the country.

The RAC renewed its position rejecting the establishment of a government parallel to the Sudanese government.

He said that the only, essential and final solution to Sudan’s deep-rooted and accumulated problems is the Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue with the participation of all components of the Sudanese people with their various political, military, civil and societal organizations.

He pointed out that the speech of the head of the “Sumud” coalition, Abdullah Hamdok, in which he proposed an initiative to end the war, is a blatant interference and violation of Sudan’s sovereignty, and a trade in and disdain for the will of the Sudanese people.

He added: “Hamdok is still swimming in seas of illusions, dreams and deceptions that the people and time have overcome, and the clock will not turn back.”
