The Rapid Support Forces(RSF)SPLM – North, political, armed and civil forces signed the founding charter of Sudan’s parallel government on Sunday night in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
The charter was signed by RSF commander , Abdel Rahim Dagalo, SPLM-N deputy Chairman, Joseph Tuka, the head of the Umma Party, Fadlallah Burma Nasser, the political secretary of the Democratic Unionist Party ( Original), Ibrahim Al-Mirghani, and the head of the Sudan Liberation Movement, Al-Hadi Idris.
The charter, was also signed by the leader of the Sudan Liberation Forces Gathering, Al-Tahir Hajar, the leader of the Justice and Equality Movement, Suleiman Sandal, and the head of the United Civilian Forces “Qimma”, Haroun Madikhter, stipulated the formation of a government that works to end the war and achieve peace.
The founding charter included the adoption of a transitional constitution, the unification of the armed parties into one army, the establishment of a decentralized system of government, and the prohibition of the establishment of political parties and organizations on a religious basis.
The charter attributed the reasons for forming the government to the protection of civilians, the flow of humanitarian aid, and the restoration of the democratic path, and criminalized all forms of extremism and military coups, and the exploitation of religion for political purposes.
The charter stipulated a commitment to historical accountability and ending impunity.
The charter was also signed by Mohammed Hassan Al-Taayshi, representing independent figures, Alaa Al-Din Naqd, representing unions and professionals, Hamid Ali Nouri, representing civil society organizations, and Sultan Ahmed Ayoub Dinar, representing the native administrations.
