January 28, 2025 El-Fasher: Darfur24 An RSF member shot and killed a citizen on Monday west of El-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur.
Eyewitnesses told “Darfur24” that RSF asked the village residents of “Farshalag” to bury their dead from El-Fasher battles. However, a citizen named Mohamed Abakar Ahmed refused to comply, prompting one of the soldiers to shoot him dead infront of the public.
RSF spread in the villages of “Shagra and Golo” west of El-Fasher after launching a wide-scale attack on the city last Friday, clashing with the Army and the Joint Forces of the Armed Movements.
El-Shafi Tenda, a relative of the deceased, told “Darfur24” that after the shooting incident, the residents, under threat, buried dozens of RSF casualties from the Friday battles in El-Fasher.
He confirmed that the village of “Farshalag” and its neighboring villages continue to experience ongoing displacement due to RSF violations against civilians.
RSF has been launching attacks on El-Fasher since May 10, aiming to capture the last Army stronghold in Darfur.
