January 28, 2025 El-Daein: Darfur24 RSF in Adila locality, East Darfur, carried out a wide-ranging arrest campaign that included politicians and military personnel from Police and Intelligence Services, accusing them of collaborating with the Sudanese Army.
Security sources informed “Darfur24” that the arrest campaign included 14 individuals from Police and Intelligence Services residing with their families in Adila since withdrawal of Security Forces and the Executive Apparatus from the State.
Relatives of the detainees confirmed to “Darfur24” that several detainees were subjected to torture, including Police Assistant Yasir Mohamed Ahmed, which caused tension and unrest in the city.
In October, RSF launched a similar campaign targeting police officers, releasing them after confiscating their military equipment and seizing their monthly wages, which had been transferred through a money transfer agent in Abu-Karinka locality market.
RSF in East Darfur had given security personnel the choice between working with RSF or leaving the State.
RSF took control of East Darfur State in November 2023 and established a Civilian Administration and judicial system to manage public affairs.
