The spokesman for the General Coordination of IDPs Camps in Darfur, Adam Rijal, confirmed that among the dead were three sisters: “Tahani Omar Abakar, Mecca Omar Abakar, and Madina Omar Abakar.”

This bombing comes at a time when the region is experiencing isolation due to communications services blackout for more than a year, preventing the flow of information about it.”

The General Coordination of Displaced Persons and Refugees Camps condemned the horrific airstrikes carried out by the Sudanese Army on the Fataborno camp for displaced persons.

It said in a statement that these crimes committed against unarmed civilians are a flagrant violation of all laws and humanitarian norms, noting that the Army, instead of being a protector of the people, has become a source of destruction, according to the statement.

It stressed that the bombing of Fataborno camp was not the first, as it was preceded by the bombing of “Abu-Shouk and Zamzam” camps, noting that they had previously been subjected to serious violations at the hands of Rapid Support Forces.

Last Friday, the Sudanese Army bombed “Abu-Shouk” camp near El-Fasher, which led to the death of a woman and a child as well as the injury of 4 other displaced persons.
