January 4, 2025 Sirba – Darfur24 The Sudanese army’s warplanes launched airstrikes on the city of Kulbus in West Darfur State in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Rapid Support Forces took control of the city of Kulbus, which is 170 km north of the city of Al-Geneina, the capital of West Darfur State, in October of last year after clashes with the joint force.

Sources told “Darfur24” that the warplanes dropped 4 barrels in Wadi Barida in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The sources indicated that the raids led to the death of a number of livestock.

The Rapid Support Forces are stationed in the areas surrounding the city of Kulbus in preparation for confrontations with the joint force that includes the Sudanese army and the Darfur armed movements present in the city of Tina.

The military is accused of launching indiscriminate air strikes on areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces, often hitting civilian targets, leading to widespread criticism and growing calls for a no-fly zone in Sudan.
