October 15, Kabum — The head of the Civilian Administration affiliated with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Kabum in South Darfur State, Adam Zakaria Shombal, issued a decision to ban the transport of food grains, specifically millet and maize, outside the administrative borders of the locality.

The decision, which Darfur24 has reviewed, stipulates penalties against anyone who transports millet and maize outside Kabum locality, with a fine of no less than one million Sudanese pounds, or imprisonment for a month, and in the event of a repeated violation, the transported quantities will be confiscated.

The head of the Civilian Administration justified his decision, which was to be immediately implemented, by safeguarding the sustainability of people’s livelihoods in his locality.

The decision coincides with the directives of the RSF leadership to prevent the transport and export of many goods and livestock to Egypt, which the Commander of the RSF accused of supplying the Sudanese army with warplanes.
