October 15, Nyala — Another unidentified plane landed at Nyala Airport, South Darfur, in the early hours of Tuesday morning, just hours after the city’s airport was subjected to intense air strikes by the Sudanese Army.
This is the forth plane to land in the airport in the last month, following another arrival on Sunday morning.
Eyewitnesses told Darfur 24 that the unidentified plane landed at Nyala Airport at around 1:15 am on Tuesday, five hours after the Sudanese Army’s aircraft bombed the same airport with three shells. The plane allegedly took off at around 2:30am, after staying at the airport for more than an hour.
The intense bombing by the Sudanese army’s aircraft on the city of Nyala, South Darfur, on Monday evening, resulted in the destruction of a school and citizens’ homes east of the city, according to eyewitnesses.
