October 15, Sirba — Four people were killed during armed clashes between Sudanese and Chadian herders in Sirba in West Darfur State.

Sources told Darfur24 that armed clashes erupted between Sudanese and Chadian herders in Rigil Mor and Armal Kel in the Sirba locality, 80 km north of Al-Geneina, capital of West Darfur State.

The clashes led to security tensions in the border strip, which led to the closure of markets on the border between the two neighboring countries. The sources said that great efforts were being exerted by joint committees from both sides to defuse and contain the tension.
