October 14, Port Sudan — The governor of South Darfur, Bashir Mursal Hasaballah, who was assigned by the Army, suspended the work of 60 employees in the state on the pretext of cooperation with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the civil administration it formed.
Mursal runs the government of South Darfur from his residence in Port Sudan, while the RSF that control the State formed a civil administration. Mursal issued a decision, obtained by Darfur24 to suspend the work of 60 employees from service, recommending filing criminal cases against them and referring their files to the State Security Committee for disturbing public security and cooperating with the RSF.
The suspended employees work in the Government Secretariat and the Ministries of Infrastructure, Finance, Social affairs, Agriculture, Nyala Municipality, and the localities of Kass, Tulus, Buram, Katila, Rihaid-Al-Birdi, and Kabum. The executive directors of locality were suspended.
The list issued by Mursal is the sixth since the formation of the civil administration in June.
