October 7, Dalenj — A humanitarian aid convoy consisting of six large trucks carrying food supplies for malnourished children and medicines arrived in South Kordofan on Sunday. Local authorities have not yet begun distributing aid.

Local activist Azahier Adam, told Darfu 24 that the convoy arrived via Al-Dubaibat Road coming from Al-Obeid city, and it is loaded with aid provided by the United Nations and the World Health Organization.

Dalenj city in South Kordofan is witnessing a worrying increase in cases of malnutrition among children, and the rate of child deaths due to hunger. The share to the city has not yet been determined.

The city of Dalenj has been facing a siege by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North from all directions since last January, which has created a food and medicine crisis.
