October 6, Hamrat al-Sheikh — 30 people were killed and more than a hundred were injured after the Sudanese army launched airstrikes in Hamrat al-Sheikh area in North Kordofan State, emergency lawyers said.
Eyewitnesses told Darfur24 that the raid targeted a crowded market in the center of the town. The civilian victims were allegedly buried in mass graves, while the only hospital was crowded with the wounded and injured, including women and children.
Emergency lawyers called on national, regional and international human rights institutions to pressure the forces to stop the indiscriminate bombing and targeting of unarmed civilians.
