October 3, Tawila — The Sudan Liberation Movement, led by Abdul Wahid Mohamed Nour, and the Sudan Liberation Forces Gathering, led by Al-Tahir Hajar, announced on Wednesday that they were establishing a military and security alliance.

The statement explained that this will include unifying efforts, named as a “neutral force,” to protect civilians, including opening safe corridors for humanitarian aid to reach those in need.

The Neutral Force also aims to work to enhance the “spirit” of military and security cooperation, in addition to enhancing the principles of international humanitarian law and human dignity. It will also work  to help civilians recover from the physical and psychological effects from the war.

The neutral force is also committed to the revolutionary combat doctrine that works to establish a state of equal citizenship in rights and duties.
