October 2, Adre — A number of Sudanese refugees in the Farashna camp complained about the delay in disbursing humanitarian aid provided by foreign organizations. It has been stopped for over two months, a refugee leader told Darfur24.

The Farashna Refugee Camp, 50 km west of the city of Adre, is one of the main camps for Sudanese refugees who fled the war that has been ongoing since April last year.

Over 600,000 Sudanese refugees have fled into Chad, with an average of 1,000 crossing the border of Adre daily. Many are facing dire conditions due to a lack of water, food and shelter.
