September 29, Abu Dhabi — The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused the Sudanese Army of bombing the residence of its ambassador in Khartoum on Sunday.

In a statement the ministry said that it condemns “the heinous attack that targeted the headquarters of the state mission in Khartoum, by a Sudanese Army aircraft, which resulted in serious damage to the building.” It said it was intending to submit a protest note League of Arab States, the African Union and the United Nations for the flagrant violation of attacking diplomatic premises.

The Sudanese authorities, under the control of the army, have repeatedly accused the UAE of financing the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and supplying them with mercenaries and military equipment.
