There were 399 new cases confirmed in five states, including three deaths. This includes 158 cases and three deaths in Kassala, 159 cases in River Nile, 70 cases in Gadarif, nine cases in Red Sea, and three cases in White Nile.
The ministry said a response campaign has covered 50% of the Kassala and Wad Al Helew localities in Kassala state, the worst-hit area.
