September 14, Nyala — The head of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Civil Administration in South Darfur State, Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, said that the Civilian Protection Force, which began its duties in the last few weeks, contributed to stabilizing the situation in Nyala and reduced crime rates and “negative phenomena.”

In the past few weeks, Nyala has witnessed widespread looting.

Hassan told Darfur24 on Saturday that the Civilian Protection Force works under the supervision of the Civil Administration in the process of maintaining security and securing humanitarian and commercial convoys. He said  that the force has clearly contributed to removing the state of terror that prevailed in the state.

Hassan also renewed the imposition of a night curfew in Nyala.
