September 13, El Fasher — On Thursday, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) clashed firercely with the allied forces in the town of Al-Sayah, 100 km northwest of El Fasher, capital of North Darfur, eyewitnesses said.

A local community leader told Darfur24 that the RSF attacked the town early in the morning 30 four-wheel drive vehicles from three axis “in an attempt to extend its administrative influence.”

Allied forces tried to prevent the RSF from entering the market, who allegedly first retreated from the town after being repelled. They captured a number of allied forces soldiers.

The fighting resumed after more RSF reinforcements arrived with 100 vehicles from the town of Al-Koma. The market was then completely looted and dozens of civilians and army soldiers were killed and injured. The sound of weapons was allegedly heard throughout the city until late in the evening.
