September 4, El Fasher — At least 13 civilians, including children and women, were killed on Monday as the Sudanese army launched a new air raid on the village of Garqaf, east of El Fasher, capital of North Darfur.

Eyewitnesses told Darfur24 that multiple airstrikes carried out by the army’s air force on Monday on gatherings of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) east of El Fasher also targeted the weekly market of Garqaf village, resulting in civilian deaths and injuries. More than 19 were injured and transferred to various health centers in Dar Samiyat, east of El Fasher.

Yahya Musa, a resident of Garqaf, said that the raid also targeted farmers in the vicinity on Tuesday morning, causing more casualties but this number has not been verified.

Various areas east and north of El Fasher city are witnessing continuous airstrikes by the Sudanese Air Force in an attempt to target the RSF but have led to mass civilian death.
