August 29, Khartoum — A dozen civilians were killed by Sudanese army drones in a market in the north of Khartoum on Thursday, also known as Khartoum Bahri.

In a statement, the Bahri Resistance Committees said that the massacre comes following the shelling of the Al-Fazarab area last Saturday, where ten civilians were killed.

“Before the ink with which the statement condemning the Al-Fazarab incident was written had dried, the northern countryside of Bahri city woke up to the sound of a new massacre,” the statement said.

Since the war began last April, Sudan’s capital has been a battleground between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces.

The Committees called on the Sudanese army to stop targeting civilians and issue a statement about the violations taking place in the northern countryside, and all the regions that were targeted by the air force.
