Qali , August 4(Darfur24)
The battles between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have shifted to the Blue Nile region, where the first clash between them took place in Qali in Altadamun Governorate, adjacent to Sennar State.
The army posted a video on social media showing the citizens of Qali providing food to the soldiers, after the Fourth Infantry Division defeated the Rapid Support Militia, where vehicles were destroyed, dozens were killed, and vehicles and military equipment were seized.”
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) also posted a video showing the presence of its elements at the army headquarters in the Qali area, and said that it had “liberated the Altadamun locality completely.”
Military sources told “Darfur24” that the army repelled an attack by the Rapid Support Forces on the Qali area.
The Resistance Committees of Damazin, the capital of the Blue Nile region, reported that a force from the Rapid Support Forces infiltrated Altadamun Governorate through the Al-Dali and Al-Mazmzam localities affiliated with Sennar State.
The Resistance Committees said, “The infiltrating force reached the areas of Jariwa and Qali in Al-Tadamon Governorate, where the militia carried out killings and looting in the Jariwa area, which is free of any army presence, and continued to penetrate until it reached the Qali area and clashed with the army force present there and the attack on Qali was repelled.”
According to the Committee, “As a result of this infiltration and attack, a number of civilians were killed and wounded.”
The authorities cut off the communications and internet network from the Nile region in early June, while the Zain network returned about a week ago, but only for calls and within the city of Damazin, and it is still unstable.
