The Central Darfur State Emergency Rooms Coordination Council, revealed on Tuesday, that it had received a grant of $50,000 from the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC)
This amount is equivalent to 93,500,000 Sudanese pounds.
NRC said that the funding “is cash support to meet the humanitarian needs of IDPs affected by the war in the state, to be implemented through the emergency rooms in Zalingei and Wadi Saleh localities.”
NRC said in a press release, that it had delivered ten emergency rooms in the neighborhoods: “Al-Jabalain, Doha, Khamsa Daqeeq, Al-Hay Al-Gharbi, Al-Hasahsa, Al-Ustad, Al-Muhafazeen, Al-Thawra and Kanjoumia”, an amount of $5,000 for each room.
It indicated that the remainder was delivered to the Garsila Emergency Rooms in Wadi Saleh locality, to provide food supplies for collective kitchens, drinking water and shelter materials.
