Delling , July 30(Darfur24)
The southern gate of Delling city in South Kordofan State witnessed armed clashes this morning between a group from the 54th Brigade of Deling and a force from the SPLM-North led by Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu.

The gate is considered the main entrance to Deling for those coming from Kadugli and Habila.

Military sources from Deling told Darfur24 that “at around 7:00 am, forces affiliated with the SPLM attacked the southern gate of Deling city, where the army was able to repel the attack.”

They indicated that the movement’s forces retreated beyond the village of Karkaria, 5 km south of the city, confirming that there were no civilian casualties.

The 54th Brigade in Deling published a video clip showing soldiers on top of a mountain announcing their seizure of weapons from the SPLM-N.

In the village of Karkaria, there is an oil pumping station that the SPLM seized about a year ago. It also controls the army headquarters in Kargal, cutting off the road between Kadugli and Dilling.
