At least 8 civilians were killed and 16 others were injured, on Wednesday, as the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces RSF exchange indiscriminate artillery shelling in the city of El Fasher after a halt that lasted more than ten days.
Eyewitnesses in the Dadanga neighborhood told “Darfur 24” that intermittent artillery shelling between the two sides on Wednesday morning targeted a family’s home in one of El-Fasher neighborhood, killing four individuals on the spot and wounding others
Meanwhile, identical medical sources at the Southern Hospital and the Medical Corps revealed to “Darfur 24” that the indiscriminate artillery shelling launched by the Rapid Support Forces caused the death of 8 civilians and the injury of about 16 others in different neighborhoods of the city.
Medical sources added that the wounded suffered varying injuries, and some of them were still receiving treatment with medical weapons.
Over the past ten days, the city of El Fasher has witnessed a cautious calm in all areas of fighting in the city, in addition to the cessation of the usual artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces. This contributed to the relative stability of the city’s markets before they resumed on Wednesday morning.
