Atbara, July 11(Darfur 24)
The Sudanese Army Commander, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, stressed that there will be no negotiations with the Rapid Support Forces, saying, “We will not go to Jeddah or Switzerland to negotiate until after they withdraw and leave all the cities of Sudan that they have seized.”
Al-Burhan said, during his address on Thursday to members of the localities of Al-Damer and Atbara, that the army will soon be victorious and will crush the rebellion.
He added that he was “confident that the battle will end with the defeat of the Rapid Support Forces and their allies and agents,” and said: “The battle has one end, which is the crushing and destruction of the Rapid Support Forces.”
Al-Burhan stressed that the battle is the battle of the Sudanese people, and added, “We promised to the Sudanese who were displaced, whose money was looted, and whose honor was violated, that we will retaliate for them and take their full rights.”
He added, “If the Rapid Support Forces do not leave all areas and withdraw, we will fight them until they are eliminated.”
