Today, Thursday, the Rapid Support Forces( RSF) announced their control of the “Al-Meiram” area in West Kordofan State, after a battle that lasted for two consecutive days, with army forces stationed in the 92nd Brigade in the area.
Sources from Al-Maeram told “Darfur 24” that the Rapid Support Forces launched a violent attack this morning on the headquarters of the 92nd Infantry Brigade in the city of Al-Marim, located on the border with South Sudan.
The sources explained that the battle began in the early morning, when the sound of heavy artillery and mutual shelling was heard by both sides, and it continued for more than 4 hours, noting that the Sudanese army’s warplanes participated in dropping several explosive barrels.
An eyewitness from the Umm Azam area told “Darfur 24” that two cars passed through his area, revealing a commander of the Rapid Support Forces who was injured on his way to the city of Muglad.
The Rapid Support Forces published videos on their social media platforms of their soldiers inside the 92nd Brigade headquarters, announcing their control of it.
