The official spokesman for the General Coordination for Displaced Persons and Refugees, Adam Rijal, revealed that large international organizations had arrived in Jabal Marra for the first time since the outbreak of war, saying that they “promised to overcome all obstacles to deliver relief to those in need in the region.”
Rijal explained that a meeting was held in the southern camp for displaced people in the city of Nirti on Tuesday, bringing together a delegation of civil leaders and representatives of the displaced with the directors of the international relief (WR) and Solidarity (SOLIDARIES) organizations, who are visiting the region, with the aim of facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need, in light of the influx of displaced people into the areas of Jabal. Marra, controlled by the Sudan Army and Liberation Movement led by Abdel Wahid Mohamed Ahmed Al Nour.
He said that the meeting discussed the main needs of those fleeing the war in the city of El Fasher, especially since those fleeing are suffering from a shortage of food supplies and medical needs, especially life-saving medicines, in addition to the possibility of delivering humanitarian aid. The organizations promised to overcome obstacles to deliver relief to those in need in the region, and to deliver the messages of the displaced to The international community is in New York to accelerate solutions to their urgent humanitarian problems.
The spokesman for the displaced and refugees, Adam Rijal, called on all humanitarian organizations to deliver aid to millions of people fleeing. Rijal added that the humanitarian conditions are extremely difficult.
