An eyewitness in the city of Sennar told “Darfur 24” an unprecedented crowding of citizens at the entrance to the Sennar Reservoir Bridge, amid the scarcity and high cost of transportation.

A number of cities, “Sinnar, Sinjah, Dinder, and Suki,” have witnessed a continuous wave of displacement since the fall of the state’s capital on June 29, in the hands of the Rapid Support Forces, while the state was embracing thousands of displaced people from Wad Damani, Khartoum and others.

The displaced people from Sennar take one direction to exit the city to the east. After the Rapid Support Forces took control of Jabal Muya in the west, and Singa in the south, while the army closed the northern exit – Madani Street.

The spokesman for the Popular Resistance in Sennar said: Ammar Hassan on his Facebook page said that the cities of “Singa, Dindir and Suki” are witnessing a mass exodus with a general power outage and a deterioration in communications service.

The Sennar Resistance Committees said on their Facebook page that the Dali area is witnessing displacement amid widespread looting of citizens’ property.

The committees alerted to the incursion of the Rapid Support Forces into the “Wad Al-Eis” area and the villages near Sinja.

In addition, the family of journalist Al-Taj Othman announced that he had been missing since Sunday during the outbreak of intense battles between the army and the Rapid Support Forces in the city of Sinja, Sennar State, according to the Sudanese Journalists Syndicate.

The union expressed its deep concern about the safety of colleague Al-Taj Othman, calling on all concerned parties to intensify efforts to find him and ensure his safety.

She said, “Al-Taj Othman is one of the most prominent Sudanese journalists who worked in the journalistic investigations corridor in Sudan, where he served as head of the investigations department in a number of Sudanese newspapers, including the “Al-Rai Al-Aam” and “Political Movement” newspapers.
