Al-Adiya , June 29(Darfur 24)

People fleeing Al-Fula, the capital of West Darfur State, and those who were displaced to the city of Al-Adhya, live in extremely difficult humanitarian conditions due to the lack of most urgent life needs in the concentration center.

The displaced people IDPs fear spread of diseases due to overcrowding the makeshift shelters.

Members of the Al-Fula emergency room told “Darfur 24” that the number of displaced people in the city of Al-Adiya reached 18,753 IDP , including 13 thousand in concentration centers , while others sleep on the open and 5 thousand lodge with host families.

IDPs described the health situation as bad, especially for those with chronic diseases who did not receive medicines from the first day, as Al-Adiya Hospital was devoid of medicines and their prices were high in the market.

They noted that there are indications of the spread of diseases due to overcrowding and lack of facilities in shelter homes.

They talked about the existence of a drinking water crisis, as the city relies on four water wells, two inside and two outside, as the increase in the number of displaced people requires bringing additional water.
