Abbas Arko Minawi, the brother of the leader of the Sudan Liberation Movement Minni Arko Minawi was killed Thursday, in the clashes in the city of El Fasher between the Sudanese army and the joint force with the Rapid Support Forces.
Abbas is the younger brother of the governor of the Darfur region, Minni Arko Minawi, and he was among the joint forces of the armed struggle movements fighting alongside the Sudanese army.
Friends and acquaintances of the deceased mourned on their social media platforms, and others also offered condolences to the head of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement, Minni Arko Minawi.
Clashes were renewed between the Sudanese army and its allies, the armed movements, on the one hand, and the Rapid Support Forces, on the other, on Thursday in the southeastern axis, amid an exchange of artillery shelling.
Muhammad Ahmed Abdullah, a member of the El Fasher emergency room, told “Darfur 24” that the city is witnessing a new state of displacement due to the continuous artillery shelling and the use of rapid support Forcrs for artillery that randomly target citizens, revealing that there are challenges facing the movement of residents within the city due to the scarcity of means of transportation.
