Five people were killed and 16 others were wounded as a result of artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces on Tuesday on the Abshuk camp for displaced people, north of the city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, western Sudan.
A medical source at the Saudi Specialized Hospital, who preferred to withhold his name, confirmed to “Darfur” the arrival of 5 dead, including children and women, and 16 others wounded, some of whom are in serious condition requiring urgent surgical intervention, revealing an acute shortage of medicines and medical consumables in the city.
The Rapid Support Forces bombed with artillery and shells early Tuesday morning the Abshuk camp for the displaced, which led to the destruction of the “Iqraa” medical clinic north of the city, in addition to the bombing of parts of the Grand Market in the center of the city and the neighborhoods surrounding the command of the Sixth Infantry Division of El-Fasher, including the First Class, the Awlad Al-Rif neighborhood, and Al-Nasr. The Coordination of the El Fasher Resistance Committees announced in a statement on its Facebook page that 5 people were killed and 16 others were injured in the Abu Shouk camp, which includes thousands of displaced people.
