On Monday, violent battles broke out between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces in the vicinity of Mount Muya, southwest of the city of Sennar.
Sources told “Darfur 24” that the confrontations between the army and the Rapid Support in the vicinity of Jabal Muya began in the early hours of Monday morning.
The sources indicated that the Rapid Support Forces were able to control the advanced positions of the Sudanese army forces after battles that left a number of dead.
The Rapid Support Forces published video clips announcing that their forces, led by Al-Bishi, took control of 37 military vehicles from the army forces and took control of large parts of the Mount Muya range.
At the same level, sources close to the army said that the armed forces were able to regain control of Jabal Muya after expelling the Rapid Support Forces.
While other information indicates that the Rapid Support Forces withdrew from Jabal Muya after the intervention of Sudanese army warplanes.
