El Fasher, June 24(Darfur 24)community leader Ahmed Yahya, from Kassab camp for displaced people in the city of Kutum 136, west of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, revealed on Monday that they were threatened by an armed militia to storm the IDP camp if they did not pay 100 billion Sudanese pounds.

Yahya told “Darfur 24” that the reasons for the threat came against the backdrop of their finding of two bodies in the “Folo Valley” northwest of Kassab the day before yesterday, and accused the displaced people of involvement in their killing.

Yahya added that large crowds of these militias on camels, horses, and motorcycles were near the camp for the second day in a row.

Yahya pointed out that the civil administrations on both sides entered into negotiations until yesterday evening, while the militia side insisted on paying 100 billion Sudanese pounds as blood money to the two dead, until they invade the camp.

Yahya pointed out that the camp administration is facing a real crisis now, either paying the amount or being invaded by these militias.

It is noteworthy that the city of Kutum fell at the hands of the Rapid Support Forces since June of last year.
