Ahmed Muhammad Saleh, one of Jalab’s relatives, told Darfur 24 that an armed force affiliated with the Joint Forces took Jalab from his home in the Al-Sahafa neighborhood, west of El Fasher, on June 13, against the backdrop of the force’s request to hand over a car belonging to the National Apparatus for the Employment of Graduates, which in turn belongs to the mobile assets of the Ministry of Finance, and his place of arrest has not yet been identified. now.

He added that his arrest came after he handed over the car in his custody within the office’s custody to the government secretariat in the state.

The joint force of the armed movements has launched a massive arrest campaign among civilians in the city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, since the start of the siege imposed by the Rapid Support Forces last January.

“Darfur 24” learned from its sources about the armed movements’ use of some of the headquarters of international organizations in the First Class neighborhood, west of the Army Command, as detention and interrogation centers for detainees by camouflaging themselves as guarding them.

One of the detainees explained to “Darfur 24” that there were military detainees, merchants, university students, and some teachers from different parts of Darfur and from different tribes and ethnicities. He added: “The charges against everyone are different, including participation, financing, coordination, and sending information to the Rapid Support Forces.”
