Al Jazira, June 19(Darfur 24)
Three eyewitnesses told “Darfur 24” that members of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) had confiscated solar panels in the villages of Wadi Shair, Umm Marhi, and Al-Farijab.

A resident of Wadi Shair – rural Tabet told “Darfur 24” that the 42 solar panels operate the water well and the health center.

Wadi Shair witnessed successive waves of displacement until the last week of May due to violations by RSF members.
While a resident of Al-Farijab said RSF elements looted the solar panels that operate the central water well, which is the main water source for a number of villages.

Meanwhile, activists reported the theft of solar panels in the village of Umm Marhi, which the village relies on to operate the village’s water pump.

Since the fall of Al-Jazira state in the hands of RSF last December and withdrawal of the Sudanese army, Al-Jazira has been experiencing a disruption of communication networks and power outages in large areas.

The villages of Al-Jazira have witnessed continuous waves of violations by the Rapid Support Groups, which resulted in a mass exodus from most of the villages south of Al-Jazira State.
