El Fasher, June 17(Darfur 24)
A woman and two of her children were killed today, Monday, and another person was injured, as a result of new artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces on the city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur.
Adam Ismail, a citizen of the Abu Shouk al-Hilla neighborhood, told Darfur 24, “The indiscriminate artillery shelling by the support forces this morning targeted the home of a displaced family from the Qarni area, north of El Fasher, causing the death of the mother and two of her children, and the injury of another person who was transferred to the Saudi hospital to receive treatment.”
It is noteworthy that the city of El Fasher witnessed relatively calm conditions on Sunday, coinciding with the first day of Eid, before artillery shelling was renewed on the city from areas under the control of the Rapid Support, east of El Fasher.
