On Thursday, residents of a village located east of Saraf Umra locality in North Darfur state, were surprised falling of boxes full of weapons and cash on their village as a result of an errant airdrop carried out by the Sudanese Army Air Force, according to what eyewitnesses reported.

Eyewitnesses told “Darfur 24” that the citizens of a village east of Saraf Umra locality, North Darfur, were surprised by an airdrop of military supplies into their village.

Eyewitnesses indicated that the supply included weapons, ammunition and Sudanese banknotes in large quantities.

They stated that the citizens took control of the cash, while a rapid support force later arrived at the site and received weapons and ammunition.

In addition, sources told “Darfur 24” that the airdrop was targeting the location of the forces of the Revolutionary Awakening Council led by Sheikh Musa Hilal in the Mustariha area, while other sources said that the airdrop was targeting another area.
