The governor of South Darfur, appointed by the Sudanese army, Bashir Mursal Hasballah, has suspended payment of salaries for a number of state employees accused of cooperating with the newly declared civil administration of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF)in South Darfur state

“Darfur 24” reviewed a list of the names of those suspended from service, issued by the governor-designate of Port Sudan, in which he ordered the Ministry of Finance to suspend salaries payment of those cooperating with RSF and file criminal cases against them and referring their files to the state security committee for disturbing public security and their cooperation with the Rapid Support Forces, according to For speech.

 

Among those suspended from service was the head of the civil administration in South Darfur, Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, who worked as an employee at the Audit Office in Tullus locality.

The decision also included Ali Mahmoud Sharara, Director of the Nyala South Lands, who was appointed by the Rapid Support as Minister of Infrastructure and Public Utilities in the new civil government in South Darfur.

The decision also included the suspension of “Adel Jaber Muhammad Jaber, former Minister of Infrastructure, Muhammad Adam Muhammad Ishaq, Executive Director of Idd Al-Fursan Locality, Hudhayfah Al-Toum Ali, Director of the Survey Department in the state, Salah Al-Din Mustafa Abdel Majeed, Director of North Nyala Lands, and Al-Bashari Abbas Al-Bishari, Director of the Markets Department at the Ministry of Infrastructure. Finance, and Hafez Muhammad Al-Jar, Director of Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Infrastructure.”

 

The list also included 18 other government employees in the government secretariat, the ministries of infrastructure, finance, and agriculture, the municipality of Nyala, and the localities of Kaas, Tulus, and Buram.

Bashir Mursal Hasaballah, affiliated with the Port Sudan government, issued a decision in early June, under its current terms, to suspend the work of the executive branch of the state government and all civil service employees, provided that the government begins disbursing salaries to them and threatening to dismiss and hold accountable everyone who cooperates with the civil government formed by the Rapid Support Forces.

 

The head of the civil administration in South Darfur, Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, who was included in the suspension list last Tuesday, announced the formation of civil government structures in the state, which consisted of ten ministries.

The Rapid Support Forces formed a civil administration in South Darfur state, in a move that is expected to be extended to the states of Central, West and East Darfur.
