The Sudanese army commander said Wednesday, that 70% of the Rapid Support Forces( RS present at the Al-Jili oil refinery in Khartoum are foreign mercenaries, saying that “the rebellion has hired mercenaries from abroad.”

Addressing senior figures and community leaders of Rizeigat tribe on Wednesday, in the presence of the Director General of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, in the city of Port Sudan, Al-Burhan said RSF was dissolved after taking up arms against the government.

According to the announcement of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Al-Burhan received the vision and matrix for addressing the current crisis in the country from the delegation of the Rizeigat tribe.

Chief Al-Burhan said, “The rebellion has no tribe, and that what happened was planned by the Dagalo family, and that not all of the Rizeigat have anything to do with the rebellion,” he said, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the people of the Rizeigat for this good initiative, stressing his support for it.

He praised the Rizeigat tribe, saying that it “contributed to supplying the armed forces with many of its members, and that this war was personal and planned by Hemedti and his brother Abdul Rahim, to seize power with the help of agents from inside and outside.”

Al-Burhan pointed out that there are parties that want to dismantle Sudan and plunder its resources, noting that there are small political forces that conspired with the Rapid Support Forces that want to rule Sudan.

Al-Burhan explained that the rebellion used mercenaries from abroad, and added, “Our confirmed information is that 70% of those present in the Al-Jili refinery are foreign mercenaries.”

Al-Burhan stressed that if the Rapid Support Forces want to stop the war, they must implement the Jeddah Agreement.

For their part, the speakers during the meeting affirmed their support for the armed forces as the national institution that includes all the people of Sudan with their various social components, according to the statement.

They declared their disavowal of what the Rapid Support Forces are committing, stressing that the project they are adopting is a sabotage project targeting the security and stability of the nation.

The speakers explained that the coordination will work to support the popular resistance by involving its people in its ranks and providing it with the necessary support so that it can assume its responsibilities in defending the land, honor, and unity of Sudan.

The speakers called for the need for concerted efforts to block the supply that reaches the Rapid Support Forces through Chad, noting that they will communicate with their communities to stand up to Chadian tribal groups entering the country through Darfur.

The speakers stressed that their coming to Port Sudan was dictated by national responsibility, which requires standing by the armed forces in order to preserve the unity and territorial integrity of Sudan.
