The source revealed the unknown fate of the wounded and dead due to the hospital’s closure and the difficulty of reaching the alternative Saudi hospital, which is located in the line of fire and adjacent to the airport, artillery, reserve forces, and the headquarters of the joint force, “formerly UNAMID.”
Sayyid Al-Shuhadaa Health Center in the southern Al-Thawra neighborhood is one of the centers to which wounded civilians were transferred from Al-Fasher Southern Hospital last week after the latter was exposed to artillery shelling more than once.
An eyewitness from the city of El Fasher, Najm al-Din Muhammad Adam, told to Darfur 24 about an attack launched by the RSF from the southern axis through the Al-Basharia neighborhood, which it penetrated, and the eastern axis through the incursion into the Al-Salam neighborhood, adjacent to the Al-Wahda neighborhood, where the Al-Fasher Southern Hospital is located.
He pointed to heavy artillery shelling by RSF targeting a shelter center in the Al-Qadi neighborhood and the Dar Al-Salam shelter center, and the bombing of the Timbasi and Al-Wadi neighborhoods, the vicinity of the Grand Market in the city center, and some service institutions west of the market.
He stated that the bombing left people dead and wounded, but they were not counted due to the difficulty of movement and reaching hospitals, and the bombing continued until late Monday evening.
“Darfur 24” learned from its sources about a large displacement movement that the city witnessed this evening towards Abshuk camp, north of the city, from shelter centers and some neighborhoods south of the city, after heavy artillery shelling towards the neighborhoods of Al-Qadi, Tambasi, Al-Radeef, and Al-Wadi.
