Five Sudanese army soldiers were killed on Monday as the Rapid Support Forces( RSF ) launched an
attack on a Sudanese army battalion in the Al-Qawarir area, 20 kilometers east of the city of Lagawa, West Kordofan.
A military source in the Sudanese army told “Darfur 24” that the Rapid Support Forces, led by Hussein Barshim, attacked the army battalion forcing the latter to withdraw to the army garrison in the “Damik” area.
He confirmed that the army lost 5 of its soldiers and three Land Cruiser combat vehicles.
It is noteworthy that “on May 28, the Rapid Support Forces killed the young man, Jibril Mahmoud Kaki, after arresting him on the road linking Heglig and Al-Qawwarir.”
