Khartoum, June 2(Darfur 24)

Assistant Army Commander Yasser Al-Atta supported the statement of the Deputy Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Malik Aqar, that the Sudanese government would not go to the city of Jeddah to resume negotiations with the Rapid Support Forces RSF, mediated by Saudi Arabia and the United States.

Addressing senior Army officers, commissioned and non-commissioned officers at Wadi Sayidna military base, in the northern vicinity of the city of Omdurman Yasir Al-Atta said on Saturday, “Malik gave the state’s opinion and said there is no Jeddah or truce, and we tell him: Your army is ready.”

He pointed out that the army’s transition from defense to attack means carrying out attacks on all axes and directions periodically, especially since the Rapid Support Forces “have nothing left.”

He revealed the approaching date of a “strong and violent strike” in the capital, Khartoum, and stressed that it would be the beginning of the collapse of the Rapid Support Forces.

Al-Atta reported that the army destroyed large forces from the hard force of the Rapid Support Forces in Khartoum North, during the attack it carried out yesterday, Friday.

Very fierce battles have been taking place between the army and the Rapid Support Forces since April 15, 2023, as each party worked to mobilize other parties to fight alongside it.
