Addis Ababa, JUNE 3(Darfur 24)
Chairman of the ody for the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces, “Taqaddam,” Abdullah Hamdok, revealed on Sunday their intention to communicate with Egypt about the initiative it proposed and the details related to it.
Last month Egypt decided to organize a conference for civil political forces in Cairo at the end of this month, where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanded that the majority of the Sudanese people, represented by the popular armed resistance, be represented in the event.
Hamdok said, according to a statement published by Taqaddam, that the coalition welcomes all regional and international initiatives and endeavors that aim to end the suffering of the Sudanese people by stopping the war, achieving peace, and achieving sustainable democratic rule.
The holding of the founding conference of “Taqaddam” was considered an unprecedented achievement in the history of political alliances in Sudan.
He added: “We met over the course of a week and agreed on political visions, organizational work mechanisms, and structure, which makes us more capable and effective in efforts to end the war.”
He continued: “We emerged from this historic conference stronger, more united, agreed in goals, and more capable, determined, and willing to express the aspirations of our people, out of concern for their interests, and to express their aspirations to end the war, achieve peace, and restore the democratic civil transition.”
Last week, the Progress Coordination Committee held a founding conference in the Ethiopian capital, in which it approved its political and organizational vision.
