Indiscriminate shelling between the parties to the conflict in the city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State, on Saturday, caused death and injury of dozens of civilians.
Since May 10, there have been continuous battles between the army and its allied movements and the Rapid Support Forces and the militias supporting them in El Fasher, leaving more than a thousand civilians dead and wounded.
At dawn on Saturday, military aircraft launched air strikes on the positions of the Rapid Support Forces in the east of the city of El Fasher.
The artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces on the eastern, southern and northern neighborhoods of the city led to dozens of deaths and injuries among civilians, in addition to causing damage to Al-Fasher Southern Hospital and its neighboring homes.
Medical sources at the Southern Hospital told “Darfur 24” that they did not monitor the total statistics of the victims as a result of the clashes that are still ongoing.
At least 10 people were killed yesterday, Friday, during an exchange of artillery shelling between the army, its allied armed movements, and the Rapid Support Forces in El Fasher.
