Sources told “Darfur 24” that a committee formed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF)leadership has been tasked to form civic administrations in the states of South, West, Central and East Darfur is continuing its discussions in Nyala after conducting meetings in El Daein.

The source indicated that the committee, which includes more than 70 members, held a series of meetings in the city of Nyala, the capital of South Darfur state, through specialized committees that included the civil administration and administrative officers.

The sources reported that the committee’s meeting with the administrative officers in the state of South Darfur discussed the formation of the civil administration in the state, its institutions, aspects of financing, and the management of the work system.

It revealed a trend to change the names of existing ministries to departments, and each of them will be headed by a general director.

The committee is still continuing its meetings with the competent authorities in the state.

According to the sources, she is expected to meet with members of the current state government as part of her series of unannounced meetings with the media.

The sources suggested that the committee would reach the states of Central and West Darfur for the same purpose.

Last week, the committee visited the city of El Daein, the capital of East Darfur State, on the same mission before arriving to South Darfur State.

The Rapid Support Forces established a civil administration in Gezira State on March 25, 2024, consisting of 31 members, where the Founding Council elected Siddiq Ahmed as head of the civil administration.
