Three women from one family were killed and 6 others were injured as a result of renewed clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the vicinity of Naivasha camp, north of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur.
Eyewitnesses from the Naivasha IDP camp told “Darfur 24” that the clashes between the army, the armed movements allied with it, and the Rapid Support Forces, renewed since ten in the morning after members of the Rapid Support Forces stationed north of the city infiltrated the camp, before taking advantage of the rooftops of houses to locate army’s positions.
Adam Ibrahim, an eyewitness from the Abu Shouk al-Hilla neighborhood, confirmed to Darfur 24 that three women from one family were killed due to a shell falling in their house, in addition to the wounding of 6 others who were taken to the Abu Shouk health center.
He stated that the family that lost three women today was recently displaced from the Al-Wahda neighborhood in search of security as a result of battles between the Sudanese army, its allied armed movements, and the Rapid Support Forces for more than two weeks.
For his part, Issa Ismail from the Barcelona neighborhood of the Naivasha camp for displaced people told “Darfur 24” that the direct clashes and artillery shelling forced dozens of families to flee into the city and others to the Zamzam camp, 13 km south of El Fasher.
On Tuesday, at least 10 civilians were killed due to renewed clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces in the city of El Fasher, according to medical sources at the Southern Hospital.
While eyewitnesses confirmed that the Rapid Support Forces bombed a number of residential neighborhoods, which also caused deaths and injuries among civilians, in addition to the destruction of some homes.
