El Fasher , May 18(Darfur 24)
On Saturday, the head of the Sudan Liberation Forces, Al-Tahir Hajar, dismissed the movement’s senior leaders, including his deputy, Abdullah Yahya, after stormy disputes struck the organization.
The Chairman of the Revolutionary Liberation Council, Ahmed Muhammad Suleiman “Company”, had previously decided to remove Al-Taher Hajar from the leadership of the group and appoint Abdullah Yahya in his place.
In a decision obtained by Darfur 24, Al-Tahir Hajar dismissed Abdullah Yahya Muhammad from the position of Vice President, Ismail Muhammad Ismail from the position of Deputy Secretary of Foreign Relations, and Salah Hamid Al-Wali from the position of Secretary of Political Affairs.
The exemption included Khaled Ali Al-Taher Hamdoun from the position of Deputy Secretary of Presidential Affairs, Tawfiq Ahmed Abdel Rahman from the position of the Secretariat of Foreign Relations, Fathi Othman Ahmed from the position of the Secretariat of Information and Official Spokesperson, Mona Hussein Shorto from the position of Deputy Secretariat of Women, and Ahmed Muhammad Jari from the position of Deputy Secretariat of Research and Strategic Studies.
The Chairman of the Revolutionary Liberation Council, Ahmed Mohamed Suleiman “Sharqa”, had accused Al-Tahir Hajar of committing the crime of high treason for supporting the Rapid Support Forces in their war on the people and for bypassing the institution in the case of receiving money from its leader, Mohamed Hamdan “Hemedti.”
The Rapporteur of the Revolutionary Liberation Council, Abu Bakr Al-Nur Yaqoub, said on Saturday that only his person represents a company, due to the Council holding a meeting since February 8, 2024, and stressed that Al-Taher Hajar is carrying out his duties until the General Conference is held.
These differences relate to the position on the war, as Al-Taher Hajar insists on remaining neutral in the conflict between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, while his deputy Abdullah Yahya “Abdullah Janna” engaged in fighting alongside the armed forces.
