Juba, May 16(Darfur 24)The Sudanese army have proposed delivering aid to areas under its control and the South Kordofan People’s Movement, from South Sudan via land and air crossings.

Prince Hassan Abdul Hamid Al-Nur, head of the popular delegation supporting the government, said in a statement to “Darfur 24” that the paper submitted by the government contains the opening of safe paths from the state of South Sudan through both areas controlled by the SPLM-N and areas controlled by the army alike.

He confirmed that the paths presented by the Sudanese army are land and air paths, explaining that the opening session for signing will take place today, Thursday, May 16, in the presence of diplomatic delegations, the United Nations agency, and international and local organizations.

The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army, Lieutenant General Shams al-Din Kabashi, headed to Juba on Thursday morning to begin humanitarian discussions with the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement led by Abdulaziz al-Hilu.

The Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Yass Ibrahim, met with the popular delegation to the areas controlled by the Sudanese army, the day before yesterday and provided information on the government’s vision regarding the delivery of humanitarian aid to the two regions and Abyei.
