The Sudanese Army Commander, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said Wednesday, that the fighting will not stop until the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are defeated.

Addressing officers, commissioned and non- commissioned officers in the Nile River State, Al-Burhan said “There will be no negotiations, no peace, and no ceasefire until the Rapid Support Forces are defeated and eliminated.”

He added, “The fight against the rebel Rapid Support Forces will not stop unless the nation is liberated from these criminal rebels,” he said.

He added, “There will be no negotiations, no peace, and no ceasefire except after defeating this rebellion and getting rid of these criminal rebels so that this country can live in peace.”

He continued, “We will not stop the fighting until we defeat these criminals who destroyed the honorable country, who deprived citizens of their property, committed the most horrific violations, and raped our free daughters in Khartoum, El Geneina, and Al Jazira.”

Al-Burhan’s statements come hours after violent battles between the army and the Rapid Support Forces in Kordofan, after the army advanced to attack the Rapid Support Forces through two axes in Al-Obeid and Umm Rawaba.

Advisor to the leader of the Sudan Liberation Movement, the Transitional Council, Muhammad Jabal Si, considered Al-Burhan’s statements rejecting negotiations, peace, and a ceasefire to indicate the man’s lack of seriousness in reaching peaceful solutions.

He added on the “X” platform that Al-Burhan’s statements contribute to further tearing the country apart, which has become a reality like ghost houses, pointing out that the Sudanese people need any solution to stop the war, and that the insistence on ending the rebellion, as they call it, is just media talk because the reality is the opposite.

On Tuesday, the Sudanese army suddenly launched a violent attack on the Rapid Support Forces near the city of Al-Obeid in North Kordofan. A force also advanced from the city of “Tandalti” in the White Nile and attacked the Rapid Support Forces in the city of “Umm Rawaba.”

The Rapid Support Forces confirmed that they had repelled the army attack in two axes in North Kordofan State, through which the army was planning to open the Kosti White National Road, according to a statement.
