El Fasher, May 1( Darfur 24)
Ten civilians were killed and 8 others were injured, as the Sudanese army launched airstrikes Monday, on El Fasher, the provincial capital of North Darfur state.
Resident Ahmed Hussein, one of the relatives of those killed, told “Darfur 24” that the air strike carried out by the Sudanese Air Force in areas controlled by the Rapid Support, east of the city, caused the death of about 12 civilians in the Al-Wefaq neighborhood located in the vicinity of the area, including “Mohamed Youssef Jumadi and Hassan Ahmed Hamid Saneen.” He was accompanied by four members of his family, along with 7 others, some of whom died from their wounds.
Hussein added that the air strike also caused a number of citizens to suffer varying injuries, in addition to the destruction of homes.
While a medical source at Al-Fasher Hospital in the south, who preferred to withhold his identity, confirmed to “Darfur 24” that the hospital received 10 dead and 8 wounded, with minor injuries, as a result of this air strike carried out by the Sudanese Air Force east of the city on Monday evening.
It is noteworthy that the city of El Fasher continued to witness successive air strikes in the northeastern part, which is under the control of the Rapid Support Forces.
